Roaming the Neurofunk scene since 2013, Austrian mobsters TR Tactics had already built a devoted following within hard edged early morning crowds sure enough, but it was last year’s release of their acclaimed Vision EP on Mainframe which saw them entering the big stage, most profoundly illustrated by having peaked Beatport’s Drum & Bass album charts in August 2017. With their depictive sound design and production style brought to perfection, and comprising collabs with renowned artists such as The Clamps and DisasZt, the Vision EP is definitely a milestone in TR Tactics’ career, and there’s still plenty of heat left for a second flare-up.

Mainframe Recordings proudly presents “Vision EP Remixed”, featuring a wide variety of artists’ takes on the original material. Starting off, Greek duo Disphonia (Eatbrain/Red Light/Meth Lab) adds a decent ‘Slap!’ to the title track, “Vision”, with a mad bouncing bass line and ultra crisp snares hitting your eardrums with deadly precision. DubApe (C4C) slickens things up with his take on “Unreal”. Rather subtle at first, magic is about to unfold when the original elements are getting dis- and reassembled in shuffle beat mode and beautifully funkified. Putting their hands on The Clamps collab “Maggot”, Zombie Cats (Eatbrain) are taking it yet another level deeper. With an intro just as epic as the original, sounds come in firmly trimmed when the drop hits. Finally, Jump Up flagship artist Sub Zero (G Dub/Playaz) is delivering his gloriously blatant take on DisasZt collab “F*ck It”, pushing it over into screeching wobble madness without warning – good clean fun!
